Where it all began…
Liliana Nunez grew up in rural California in the city of Sacramento. Growing up with a pond in the front yard and a field of walnut trees across the street opened up the world of exploring nature. As a toddler beginning to walk, she recalls having a baby duckling follow her around next to the pond. Her love of creatures began with a little duck and expanded as she grew older. Liliana studied at University of the Pacific, where she majored in photography and high school art education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and received her teaching credential in 2015.
Her passion for art bloomed and she was determined to continue her studies. Having the experience to be a photographer and photograph nature themes made her realize she wanted something more. Fall of 2015 she decided to continue her education and work towards a Masters Degree in Fine Arts at the Academy of Art. She moved to San Francisco, a city that made her realize that there was a whole world of art to discover. As she learned to paint with oils, she applied her passion of animals into her paintings. Now she paints domestic and wildlife animals with a modern touch that she designed. Her expressive animal portraits depict the beauty in nature within.
